In Evony Age 2, the marketplace is used for trading resources. You can buy and sell your excess resources here for gold. The system charges a fee of 0.5% in gold regardless of whether you are buying or selling. This fee is applied to both sides.
Unlike the Age 1, the maximum resources per post has been increased to 99,999,999 (i.e. 1 less than 100 million) from 9,999,999 (i,e, 1 less than 10 million) which was the case with Age 1.
The rules in trading are quite simple. The highest bidder wins if you are you are selling goods and the lowest offer wins if you are buying goods.
Example: Let’s say the lowest price of food is 2 gold. To buy food, you need to buy at 2 per unit until all available units at 2 gold are finished. After that the next lowest offer will become available. If you are selling goods, and the highest bid is 1.8 gold, then all units wanted at 1.8 gold needs to be sold after which the next highest bid becomes available.
The Marketplace also plays a role in increasing the Hero Gear level.
WARNING: Resources placed on OFFER are not safe from plundering if you are attacked BEFORE the transaction takes place. The attacker will be able to take all your resources if you have offers pending in the marketplace. However, any resource in TRANSIT i.e. being transported by the system to or from your city are safe.
Time to deliver resources from seller to buyer is a flat 30 minutes regardless of the distance and is handled by the server itself. You do not need troops to transfer goods.
